Welcome Whitney Ockenden!

Whitney now serves as HCRR's Equine Heart & Ambassador. We are overjoyed to welcome a truly special soul to the Horseshoe Canyon Rescue Ranch family in this brand-new role created just for her. Living in Ohio, Whitney brings her enthusiasm, creativity, and beautiful heart to our mission.

Every horse has a story, and Whitney is a vital voice for these animals who cannot speak for themselves—helping the world understand that every creature deserves compassion, dignity, and love. Through videos, creative projects, and virtual collaboration, she shares her deep love for animals and helps us develop new ways to teach children and families about kindness and responsibility. While most of her work is done from home, we cannot wait for her visits to the ranch to spend time with the horses she is helping to represent. We chose Whitney for this role because of her unique gifts, and we are so honored to have her helping guide our mission forward - one heart at a time!
